Expanding Your Business Potential with an Online Reservations System

In today’s fast-paced transportation market, where everyone is connected via the internet and personal email, an online presence is an essential strategy for a business to remain competitive.   A website is the first vital part of a web presence.   The company site is an effective way to present your clients with the services, vehicles, and rates your company has to offer. Even a website today is just part of a truly successful online marketing effort.

Hybrid Vehicles for Livery and Transportation Industry

Giving people environmentally friendly livery and airport service choices has gotten a little easier  thanks to  the work of the auto industry in making those types of vehicles available to businesses who want them.  Hoping to encourage companies to buy these new, often more expensive yet less popular models of cars, the Federal Government passed a law that offers up to a $3,000 energy-conservation tax credit to companies that buy vehicles like the Mercury Mariner Hybrid or the Hybrid Ford Escape.  The Mariner hybrid Boasts a 34/mpg in city, easily tripling the Industry standard Lincoln Town car with 15/mpg in city.

How have the rising costs of fuel affected your company and your customers?

It seems like every day we are told that the price of crude oil has reached a new record high.  As of close of business today, the price of oil per barrel has reached 129.00 a barrel.  Less than 12 months ago 100.00 dollars a barrel was thought to be ‘unthinkable’, and some are now saying that oil could go above 200.00 a barrel.  Here in Dallas the average cost per gallon of gas is 3.65, and this is about .15 cents less than the national average.  While rising fuel costs are a real concern for many livery and transportation companies owners the demand for transportation services remains strong.  Still few industries are feeling the pinch of higher fuel costs more than the transportation industry.  Higher gas prices have caused most  business owners and operators to charge 3 – 5% in fuel surcharges which ultimately are passed on to the consumer.

How have higher fuel costs affected your business and your customers, and what are strategies are you considering to offset the higher cost of Fuel?
