LA Net 2009 - Post Event Follow Up & Other LA Updates
Dear Limo Anywhere Customers:
It was a pleasure seeing many of you at our Second Annual LA Net Networking event in Las Vegas this past January. The turnout was incredible - with well over 300 people in attandance - and from what we hear, the event served its purpose.
We created Limo Anywhere almost five years ago with the primary vision of taking the tools of the big guys in this industry, and putting them in your hands.
But that isn’t all anymore.
Now, secondly, we also want to help you harness the power of your numbers. Limo Anywhere clients now number over 1500. We’ve been approaching insurance providers, credit card service companies, printers, auto parts companies and more, to negotiate on behalf of all 1500 of you, so you have the option to get better rates on these services.
It’s working.
As a matter of fact, we have several deals in progress right now.
- Mr. Jack Rolfe of Georgetown Insurance has agreed to provide Limo Anywhere clients with some of the best rates available on the market today.
- Mr. Sid Forougi of e-LANTiS GPS has promised to deliver very cost-efficient GPS tracking solution for the Limo Anywhere customers.
- Mr. Kurt Von Strasser of LimoLive24 Call Center has agreed to offer several additional benefits to Limo Anywhere customers. They work with quite a few Limo Anywhere customers and are very familiar with our system.
This is just the beginning.
Finally, we want to help you connect with one another, so you can all make more money. And that is why were there on January 27. But first, a brief update on what’s been happening here.
The good news is, Limo Anywhere has been growing much faster than we anticipated. So, we’ve needed to upgrade our infrastructure to keep up. We hired a company as fast as we could find one, to help us do that. I promised big change and improvements. We were well on our way, and then bad news hit. As has happened with a number of businesses in this economy, the company we hired had to close its doors. I apologize to all of you for the delays in bringing you the upgrades we promised.
The good news is, we found a new company that can help us deliver you a product superior even to what we had planned. You will soon have at your disposal some of the most powerful technology available to help you grow your business. Later this year, you’ll see:
- Faster response time. The new system will have improved performance you’ll notice when you save your valuable time—online transactions will go quicker!
- Greater security. We’ve got top of the line, PCI compliant firewall and intrusion prevention hardware and software.
- GDS and Fleetbook integrations, to connect you to larger transportation providers.
- 4.We are even working with Voice over IP telephone providers to create a solution that will help you not only reduce operating costs, but to improve your customer interaction.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us and we’ll help get you on track.
So now, on to the really important question. How many you have used networking to grow your business? You know, when we work together, we create a force far greater than any of us can muster alone. I’m going to say that again.
When we work together, we create a force far greater than any of us can muster alone.
Because you are small operators, connected with one another through Limo Anywhere, the largest software-to-software network in the world, you have the power to create arrangements with each other where everyone benefits.
Let me test your networking skills: What happens when you’re a small operator in Scottsdale, Arizona, and you get a call from Pope Benedict XVI, who will be arriving in New York? Do you:
- Pray
- Say, “Sorry, we don’t serve those other areas you want to travel to” and let the Pope hang up?
- Say “yes, of course we can take care of all your needs,” and then call on your network to do the rest?
Well, when you’re Sara Anderson from Charter Demand, here’s what you do.
Here is the story about the Papal Visit 2008.
The Archdiocese of New York contacted Charter Demand, Inc. in October, 2007 and asked us to do some work because representatives of the Vatican were coming to New York and they required a special kind of vehicle. Patsy (staff) found a company on Limo Anywhere to do the job and they were very satisfied. Mark A. and Catherine G. were the two people in charge of the Papal Visit and told me later that the Pope was in fact coming and that we were getting the opportunity to bid on the job.
There are so many companies in New York that do what we do that I did not have high hopes, we are in Scottsdale, Arizona. However, I flew to NYC on my own dime to meet with them face to face and as CEO of Charter Demand offered my personal services to oversee all of the transportation. My company was only one year old (I told them the truth about everything) but agreed to move to New York and handle any and everything.
We got the job.
The Archdiocese of New York and my corporate attorney ironed out the details and we were given a 2 million dollar advance to get the ball rolling. So, I went to work on Limo Anywhere to find good affiliates to handle the 2000+ vehicles we needed. Jose at Airport pick-ups was the best thing that happened to us as we needed sedans constantly 24 hour a day. I worked with Secret Service, NYPD, Intelligence, Port Authority, and the Governor's office to insure the safety of the first post 9/11 Papal visit.
Every driver had to have a background check as some were actually handling the Papal Entourage. No vehicle on 4 wheels could enter into any of the Papal Events without being chartered through our company with the proper signage. Due to the large number of vehicles I utilized Limo Anywhere constantly. I don't know what I would have done without this type of web-based software because the Archdiocese set up an office for us in New York.
Jose (Pichardo of AirportsPickup.com / 123 Corporate Transportation) was a full time staff member and a life saver. He picked up every Bishop and Cardinal from train stations and airports and was very professional. His cars were stationed ready to go at any time 24 hours a day. CNN reported we had the record number of buses in the history of New York at Yankee Stadium for the Papal Mass. I am happy to report that we had a 98.9% success rate with no accidents or injuries.
It was a success!
Had I chosen another software program I do not think things would have run as smoothly because we could contact affiliates just by clicking a button. The New York Times stated that this was a highly organized event. At the end the contract totaled over $4 million dollars and was easilty managed through Limo Anywhere.
In the New York office we had 35 monitors with Limo Anywhere on them so the staff I hired, DC advance personell, Limo Anywhere affiliates, and Secret Service could access any run at any time. If Limo Anywhere could handle this job, then there is nothing too big and farm-out companies are at an advantage to use this service. As a single mother of 2 teenagers taking a chance to start my own business the best choice I made was Limo Anywhere.
For her achievements in networking, Sara was presented with our first, Limo Anywhere Networker of the Year award. Contragulations Sara and the entire Charter Demand team.
All of you have the determination and the desire to succeed — I could tell that by your presence at our event, and from our communications throughout the year. You have the tools of the big guys in your hands, and they’re only getting better. You have the opportunity to create the kinds of relationships that can make your business go through the roof, even in this economy. With all that at your disposal, you can’t go wrong. Next time you have a call you aren’t sure what to do with, think about Sarah and the Pope!
I appreciate you all coming here and putting in the time to help grow your business. We’ll continue doing everything we can to help you succeed.
Your success is our success.
Let’s make 2009 the most lucrative year ever!
