As of close of business today, the price of oil per barrel has reached 129.00 a barrel.&nbsp; Less than 12 months ago 100.00 dollars a barrel was thought to be &lsquo;unthinkable&rsquo;, and some are now saying that oil could go above 200.00 a barrel.&nbsp; Here in Dallas the average cost per gallon of gas is 3.65, and this is about .15 cents less than the national average.&nbsp;</font><font face="Verdana" size="2"> While rising fuel costs are a real concern for many livery and transportation companies owners the </font><font face="Verdana" size="2">demand for transportation services remains strong.&nbsp; Still few</font><font face="Verdana" size="2"> industries are feeling the pinch of higher fuel costs more than the transportation industry.&nbsp; Higher gas prices have caused most&nbsp; business owners and operators to charge 3 &ndash; 5% in fuel surcharges which ultimately are passed on to the consumer.</font></p>
