Facebook Live Recap – The Passenger Web App (PWA)
- Posted By:
During the recent Facebook Live, Limo Anywhere’s Director of Product and Design Brandon Edley answered questions about Limo Anywhere’s new Passenger Web App (PWA) and discussed what users can expect from the PWA in the coming months.
- What is a PWA?
- The PWA is a web-based application, which behaves like a native app when accessed on a mobile device. In contrast to a native app, your clients do not need to download an app from their respective app stores.
- There is an increased conversion rate with PWAs that ends with more clients reaching the final steps of booking, because it is easier to promote the PWA to your clients.
- For all companies that have a PWA the URL will be pwa.mylimobiz.com/company_id
- Using the PWA
- Booking a Trip
- Editing details on the PWA is easier because the app is optimized for mobile access.
- Your clients can either choose to sign into an account or, if they don’t have an existing account, can set one up by creating a password when prompted.
- Vehicle options available on the PWA will filter out based on various criteria (ex. passenger count).
- Active Trips and Trip History
- Your clients can track the progress of a ride if the driver is using DriverAnywhere (ex. a traveler can see when their driver is en route, a booker can track trip progress)
- Editing ability to existing/upcoming trips follow the same lead time settings as exist for your ORES in Limo Anywhere.
- Currently, trip history can be searched by confirmation number, but the ability to search by passenger will be added in the future.
- Account Profile and Payments
- A default billing address can be added to an account and future cards can be added to that account by default as opposed to typing in the same address each time you want to add a new payment method.
- A default address can be assigned to a card by ticking a checkbox while adding the payment method.
- Your clients can easily add or remove cards from their account within the PWA.
- Booking a Trip
- Advertising the PWA to Your Clients
- You can utilize your existing scheduled messaging to easily direct your clients to the PWA (ex. send a message with the link to your PWA telling them that they can track their upcoming ride).
- Upcoming updates
- Installation Helper
- On Android, your clients will be able to follow on-screen prompts to add the PWA to their home screen.
- On iOS, the PWA will need to be added manually by your clients, but instructions will be available on the app to guide them through the process.
- Google Tag Manager Support
- Using GTM, you will be able to view analytics and track usages and bookings made within the PWA.
- Settings will be available within your Limo Anywhere System.
- Push Notifications
- At this time, notifications will be available via text message, but eventually push notifications will go directly to your client’s device. Notifications will be available on Android first with iOS to follow later.
- Biometric login
- Your clients will be able to unlock their account using the phone’s existing biometric data (ex. face, fingerprint, etc.)
- Rate Driver
- Your clients will be able to provide driver feedback within the PWA.
- Advanced Checkout
- Will be able to add ride upsells and allow clients to book a ride in their destination, book a return trip, etc.
- Installation Helper
